Night Life in Coron

Night-life in Coron is an evening meal, a chat, and a beer, with a possible visit to the local disco for those with an adventurous disposition!

There are a limited number of tourist oriented restaurants which, besides meals, also provide musical entertainment and alcohol. Night-life is generally conversation with other divers and tourists whilst sitting around your drink and listening to music.

The best place to eat in town is, without doubt, The Bistro.

Sea Dive offer an a la carte menu and usually a choice of two daily specials which retail for a low price but the quality of food is very variable and is reflected in the price. Very often the cooks, though amiable, do not have a clue! A very drinkable bottle of wine is yours for around P850.00 to aid the digestion.

The Bistro is owned and run by Bruno, a French guy and long-term Palawan resident. If you are staying at the Sea Dive Resort, and most people do, then walk along the pier to the road and take a left, go up the hill and the first road you come to is the 'National Highway', cross it, whilst taking a left, and The Bistro is almost immediately on your right. The average cost of a three course meal here is P1,000.00. Bonne Appetite!

Another place worth trying is The Old House, a little further along the same 'National Highway', and on the same side of the street.

TV, a cold beer, and a game of pool is available in the Helldivers' Bar attached to Sea Dive Resort

There is a small disco in town which attracts a crowd most evenings, and is the place for available 'night-life!'

While the Philippines has a reputation for very wild and active nightlife provincial towns like Coron are pretty slow to catch up, though small bars like 'Bottle Ground' and 'Irenes' are now "plying their trade!"
