This resort advertises diving for $22.00 per dive but clients should be aware they will be asked to pay extra for lunch, kit hire, and boat transfers in addition to the advertised price of $22.00 per dive which makes this resort far from the best value in town for daily diving. The price real comparison is shown at the foot of the page, from which you will see it's far from the best value.

The prices for dive education courses are very good, which makes this is a great place for outright beginners as well as those looking for the more adventurous Technical Diving.

This resort is a TDI/SDI 5* Instructor Development Centre and therefore you would expect the emphasis to be on Technical Diving, in particular TDI/SDI diving, however, as already mentioned, everybody is welcome, even non-divers! SDI courses are comparable to PADI courses and just as good and are also accepted world-wide. The only courses not catered for are Tri-Mix.

Gunther has been in Coron for many years now and has an intimate knowledge of the wrecks. He also runs his dive operation in the disciplined manner one has come to expect from our German friends. So, if it's twin-sets and tech diving you are after, this is the place for you.

Accommodation is bungalow style, constructed of traditional materials, and situated up the hill from the restaurant and the small beach. There is no swimming pool nor air con rooms.

The standard, all-inclusive, rate is US$85.00 per night based on two persons sharing a cottage, and includes full-board at the Discovery resort restaurant, and two wrecks dives per day including all boat transfers and guides, tanks and weights. As a guide the cost for two divers spending 7 nights in a shared bungalow and diving six days making two dives per day would be $1,260.00. For a single diver you would need to consider the supplement for single room occupancy of $15.00 per day making the cost $735.00.

Another attraction here is the horse riding facility of which Gunther is a part owner.

Situated in a beautiful valley just 1km from the town of Coron - tricycles will take you there for a very modest sum.

There are several trails around the Horse Valley Ranch. Trips can vary from one hour to a full day of horseback riding. The scenery is spectacular. You can see farms cropping sweet potatoes, bananas, pineapple etc. Jungle, rivers and hills with an excellent view over the the Islands of Busuanga.

1/2 day trips are only Php600.00 while a full day is Php1,200.00.
